Depending on where you are in the college planning process, when you become an ACCI client, we’ll provide resources and counseling for a wide range of services.
Determine Your Strengths
ACCI recognizes that every student is unique. Some students have specific learning styles while other students have
specific needs. Unfortunately, most students and parents learn the hard way that not every college is the right fit for
each student. A student might have their heart set on a specific campus or career that may not be the best choice for them,
due to limited information that they received on the school. Here at ACCI, we work with our student in evaluating their
individual talents and assist them in determining their strengths.
Plan Your Future
Understanding different career paths and projected salary ranges help a student plan for a successful future.
Providing the students with resources and counseling to explore various career options assist the students in pinpointing
their college major. Many students begin their college years with an undeclared major, due to the lack of help with this
decision from their Guidance Counselor in high school. By understanding their individual talents and determining their strength,
we can show them different career paths that are based around these charactersitics. The student will be provided a list of careers,
descriptions and projected salary ranges.
Finalize College Choices
Researching colleges can be an extremely overwhelming task. We work with students in narrowing down the college
choices by reviewing each of the college’s programs and degrees offered. We evaluate the students minimum GPA and SAT/ACT
test scores and compare them to the college’s admissions requirements. Guiding the students in determining the colleges that
match their GPA and SAT/ACT test scores the student will be able to narrow down their college visit choices this will save
time and money.
Set Your Goals
Once the student selects their top college choices, we work them to set the specific tasks and deadlines that are needed to gain
acceptance into the students’ school of their dreams. This is a whole process and it is our job to keep everyone focused and on task
by utilizing a variety of tools we developed. We ensure that every step has been taken and nothing has been overlooked.
Complete Admission Applications
Filling out admissions applications can seem overwhelming. Unfortunately, sometime student will try to take shortcuts by
cutting, pasting, and copying from one application to another in order to meet the deadlines. We are aware of the pitfalls of
this type of process. ACCI is here to help students properly complete applications, proofread, and deliver them the way the
college has requested. We will help the students stay on track with the deadlines utilizing our detailed college application tracking system.
Write Compelling Essays
Writing a college essay can be a challenging process. Sometime students need help organizing their thought into a cohesive composition,
other times they may be a brilliant writing but lack proper grammar skills. Whatever the case maybe, ACCI wants to make sure the student
puts their best foot forward in writing their personal essay. We will work with the students in raising them to the highest level possible.
Prepare For Standardized Tests
Our online Method Test Prep Center will help students improve their SAT and ACT scores. The students will be able to take a
diagnostic test showing them where improvements are needed. They receive personalized instruction, tips and techniques and practice
exams. The higher the students score, the wider range of schools they will be able to choose from.
Research Scholarship Options
Students have online access to our national scholarship bank, which is searchable and regularly updated.
Develop a Financial Plan
ACCI helps students and their families determine how they will pay for their college education. We determine scholarship and financial
aid eligibility and work with students in building a financial plan for paying for the remainder through loans and personal financing.
